Acceptable Usage Policy
Crystal Peaks Online service is "unlimited" but there are a few rules that everyone must follow in order to keep it that way. Please read them carefully and follow them closely:
1. Programs that sent a few packets every minute or so to keep you connect when your not using our service are absolutely forbidden when connected to our service. Anyone who is caught using one will be immediately terminated from the service with no refund. The service is "unlimited," but not "Constant." if everyone connected constantly, we could only have as many users as modems. Please disconnect when you are away eating, sleeping, etc.
2. The servers will not disconnect you while you are doing a download. If you have a LARGE file to download, ask us about the possibility of having us download it here for you and copying it to a Zip or Jaz disk. Please note that we will not download any copyright materail for any reason. The only situation you'll be disconnected automatically is if there is NO data flow through your modem to ours for longer than 15 minutes. Reading and writing E-mail does not produce any traffic on your line, so it is a good idea to download your E-mail and then disconnect while you read and formulate your replies and then reconnect to send them all at once. Please use the system all you want, but please don't ABUSE it. We are confident you will enjoy Crystal Peaks Online.
3. Sharing or giving your username and password to anyone else is also absolutely forbidden. Anyone caught doing so will also be immediately terminated from service with no refund.
4. "SPAM", hate mail, mailing bulk e-mail messages, or sending unsolicited e-mail advertisments from our servers is also against the rules. Incoming and outgoing mail is monitored and you'll be notified immediately should you violate any of these rules. Distributing pornographic material through our e-mail system is strictly prohibited. These offenses are grounds for immediate termination with no refund.
5. Child pornography is accessible in some newsgroups. Since it is against the law, please do not download it, observe it or upload it. Crystal Peaks Online wishes to maintain a family environment. Please refer to number 4 and 6.
6. The storage or distribution of ANY type of pornography from your personal or business account or WEB PAGE on the Crystal Peaks Online Servers is forbidden. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.
7. Posting business or commerce related web pages while having only a PERSONAL ACCOUNT is prohibited. If your web page is promoting any sales (goods or services), advertising or business of any kind, you must upgrade to a BUSINESS ACCOUNT.
8. There is no refund or prorating for anyone canceling in the middle of their billing period. You will be charged for the entire last month. The remainder of the month you have the option of terminating services immediately or waiting until your period runs out but you will charged irregardless for the whole month.
Billing policies are as follow for any customer whose account is 5-days past due will be suspended and assessed a $5.00 reactivation fee on top of all charges presently due. Customers delinquent past 30 days will be suspended and assessed a reactivation fee of $15.00 on top of all charges presently due. Business accounts will be assessed separate charges as shown in pricing summary below.

(*All past due charges will be applied at time of re-activation)
Crystal Peaks Online reserves the right to make any changes to these policies without notice.
